TOYO TIRES DEFENSIVE DRIVING COURSE

Toyo Tyre Sales and Marketing Malaysia recently hosted a ‘Toyo Tires Defensive Driving Course’ for the Royal Malaysia Police at MAEPS, Serdang as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative for Malaysian Government enforcement agencies.

Dignitaries present were DCP DatoAidi Bin Ismail , Deputy Director 1, Strategic and Resources Technology Department (StaRT) , Royal Malaysia Police, SAC Dato Mohd Hishamudin Bin Tahar, Principal Assistant Director (Transport) , Dept of Strategic and Resources Technology Department (StaRT) Royal Malaysia Police and Mr Peter Lim, Executive Director of SpancoSdn Bhd. Toyo Tyre Sales and Marketing Malaysia were represented by Mr Kanji Kasai, chairman, Mr Tan Song Chye, president/managing director, Mr TeppeiShigeno, general manager, sales & marketing, Mr William Tan, sr manager, branding and Mr Mamoru Yamamoto, technical manager , Toyo Tyre & Rubber Co., Ltd. , Japan.

Royal Malaysia Police personnel were given intensive theory and practical training, conducted by professional instructors consists of slalom, braking, skid control and lane changing training sessions. The Toyo Nano Energy 3 tyres equipped Proton Inspiras and Preves performed impressively throughout the rigorous driving and braking manoeuvres.

65 Royal Malaysia Police personnel received their Toyo Tires Defensive Driving Course certificates at the end of the course, handed out by DCP DatoAidi Bin Ismail, SAC Dato Mohd Hishamudin Bin Tahar and Mr Kanji Kasai.

The Toyo Tires Defensive Driving Course series of events is one of the many Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects that Toyo Tyre Sales and Marketing Malaysia had conducted in Malaysia. “CSR is an integral part of Toyo Tires and Toyo Tyre Sales and Marketing Malaysia’s corporate culture and strategy to drive progress in society “said Mr Kanji Kasai.

Last year, the inaugural Toyo Tires Defensive Driving Course was held for the Royal Customs Department, Immigration Department, Road Transport Department and Road Safety Department – and it was very well received.
